SignalChem is now expanding its capabilities and creating multiple new positions.

SignalChem Biotech Inc. is seeking a well-qualified Research Assistant in the Quality Control team must have exceptional people skills and perform well in a team environment. The position is responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting various experiments in the department of Quality Control.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Sample and test the quality of protein products using current or any associated biochemistry and instrumental techniques by following general guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results.
- Ensure experimental procedures are carried out carefully and accurately to eliminate errors.
- Prepare, maintain and update databases, technical reports, summaries, and QC protocols.
- Use professional concepts in accordance with QC objectives to solve problems.
- May contribute to the process for creating and executing method development and method validation test protocols for finished products and generating appropriate analytical methods.
- Utilize good laboratory practice including record keeping and lab maintenance.
- Observe and comply with company Health and Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).

**Requirements**:

- B.Sc. in Biochemistry or related field with three years of laboratory experience. Comprehensive understanding of quality control.
- Demonstrated track record and skills/experience gained in a similar position(s), at a similar level.
- Highly proficient in protein biochemistry techniques, including SDS-PAGE and Western blotting
- Experience with the use of key analytical equipment, including HPLC, is preferred.
- Experience with testing, evaluation and release of finished products.
- Self-motivated, with an ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
- Good computer skills e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels.
- Ability to achieve and maintain high standards with meticulous attention to detail with organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
