Learning Potential Foundation is looking for an Education Assistant to join our team for the current school year (from now-June). We partner with preschools and daycares in Airdrie & Calgary and work with children aged 2-5 years with varying levels of delays/needs.

**Current EA Position opportunities**:
**Mon-Fri in Airdrie**:
**-8am-5pm (w 1 hr unpaid lunch break). This position is a 1:1 with a severe needs child in a Christian center in Airdrie.**

Qualifications include:

- Experience with children with delays and/or special needs an asset
- Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search (dated within the last 6 months)
- Education Assistant certification an asset

Abilities Required include:

- Proficiency in English (written and oral)
- Ability to work as a team and independently
- Good organizational skills, time management skills, and pacing skills
- Flexibility within a group setting of students with various needs
- Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behaviours of students
- Reliable & Dependable (including consistent attendance)
- Success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Enthusiasm, commitment, willingness to learn, and desire to make a difference
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent our ECS in a professional manner

Compensation/Position includes:

- $21/hr
- Benefits after 3 months if employed for 18+ hrs per week
- Contract runs from now until June 21/25 (with option to renew based on performance and agreement by both parties)

**Please note that this is a position in Education and NOT Childcare. The posted pay is the hourly rate and there is no additional childcare sector wage top-up. Thank you
