**Job Opportunity: Black Youth Community Project Participants**

**About Us**:
Re-Imagine Ontario is a registered charitable organization whose mission is to improve the health, education and employment of vulnerable people, with particular focus on Black and Indigenous populations, by fostering strong community support networks.

**Project Overview**:
We are seeking motivated and passionate Black youth between the ages of 18-29 to participate in an innovative community project aimed at exploring new strategies to support Black youth in employment. This collaborative initiative will involve discussion, planning, and the development of groundbreaking ideas to enhance employment opportunities within local communities, but will be a project independent of Re-Imagine Ontario.

**Position Type**: Volunteer (Unpaid) - with potential for paid roles upon project funding

**Duration**:Initial phase - 1-10 days. Remote discussion and planning; Future phases - Possibly ongoing project management roles up to 2-3 years.

**Location**:Remote (Initial phase); In-person meetings may be required for stipend eligibility

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage actively in virtual discussions and planning sessions to brainstorm and devise creative solutions for improving employment prospects for Black youth.
- Contribute unique insights, ideas, and experiences to shape the project's direction and strategy.
- Collaborate with fellow participants to develop actionable plans and initiatives that address challenges faced by young Black individuals seeking employment.
- Actively participate in project evaluation and refinement processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Age: 18-29 years old.
- Passionate about addressing employment disparities and challenges faced by Black youth.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Creativity and a willingness to think outside the box to identify effective solutions.
- No prior employment or specific educational background required.
- Openness to sharing personal experiences and ideas in a supportive and respectful environment.
- Access to a computer and internet connection for virtual meetings and discussions.
