We are currently looking for a **Production Coordinator** for our **Steinbach** plant.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator is primarily responsible for production planning, line operation and personnel coordination to optimize operations. He/she will also support the Production Manager in employee integration and training, as well as ensure health and safety.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate on Production Planning process:

- Creating the daily production schedule by consulting with the stake holders and utilizing SAP and other tools.
- Coordination of Incoming shipments and production demands to consolidate production runs.
- Participate in inventory control activities and physical inventory.
- Maintain inventory FIFO and ensure inventory turns
- Identify and actively collaborate in the development of continuous improvement opportunities in inventory management and cost optimization.
- Communicate any potential shortage problems.
- Validate production quality.
- Promote Quality first mindset is driven on the floor.
- Ensure health and safety.
- Monitor production efficiency.
- Manage personnel movements to optimize production lines.
- Monitor mechanical breakdowns and line stoppages.
- Report escalates issues to Manager and determines resolution.
- Welcome and train new employees.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma in food processing or any other combination of relevant experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a similar position or in a manufacturing field.
- Knowledge of SAP software (an important asset).
- Experience in the food industry (an asset).
- Experience in occupational health and safety (an asset).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in In English; bilingualism is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Technical writing and SOP creation is an asset.
