Building Caretaker

**Five Star Building Services is **hiring a full-time Building Caretaker. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. **The position will be based in Port Moody.**

The Building Caretaker position requires **70% Cleaning** and **30% Building Management**.

**Your Job Scope**:

- Overseeing the building maintenance on a regular basis.
- Responding to inquiries and requests by building residents and resolving any problems or issues.
- Program and update fobs (remote access key).
- Coordinate and managing trades/contractors.
- Monitor building conditions and security (review security cameras as requested by property management).
- Perform daily building walkthroughs and report any deficiencies.
- Inspecting the building for any sign of damage or vandalism.
- Monitoring visitor parking.
- Coordinates move in/ out inspections.
- Changes and orders light bulbs as required.
- Produce and submit written incident reports.

**Knowledge and skills**
- The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with resident, maintenance staff and contractors.
- The ability to resolve issue that may occur to maintain smooth building operations.
- The ability to coordinate and communicate tasks to contractors and Property Manager
- The ability to inspect the overall appearance and conditions of the building and detect deficiencies.
- The ability to maintain clean and pleasant living environment.
- The ability to manage list of responsibilities and set priorities.
- Able to lift 30 to 50 lbs., bend and reach to high/ low places as needed.
- Capable to push heavy waste bins.

**Experience**:

- Strata: 1 year (preferred)
- Facilities Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
- Professional English Communication: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
