**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:
**Medication Management**
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage and maintain the Medication Administration Record (MAR) system.
- Input new client data into the MAR system and update information as needed.
- Monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition, reporting to the supervising doctor or healthcare professional as required.
- Client Care and Support
- Assist clients with daily tasks, including personal care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide emotional support and foster a positive, encouraging environment for clients.
- Aid with mobility and physical activities, including safe handling and lifting when necessary.
- Client Admissions and Intakes
- Conduct over-the-phone client intakes and facilitate in-person admissions.
- Complete required documentation accurately and efficiently, ensuring all information is logged appropriately.
- Operational and General Duties
- Communicate client progress and concerns to the supervising medical team.
- Transport clients to appointments and assist with scheduling when necessary.
- Support the Centre with light housekeeping, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Provide backup assistance with other Centre operations as required.

**Requirements**:

- Certification as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) or equivalent qualification in Nova Scotia.
- Medication Management Training (certification or willingness to obtain this as a condition of employment).
- Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or addiction recovery is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professionalism.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges, addiction, disabilities, or dementia is a strong asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
