Cabinet Maker/ Woodshop

We are seeking experienced and Apprentices located in Surrey/Delta/Vancouver. Full time or Contract work. **What We Do**: We build Museum& Science Center Exhibits, Restaurant Interiors, Public Art installations, and many other diverse projects. The work is interesting and definitely not boring. Projects include interactive displays and sophisticated, custom millwork creations, which require a skilled team of versatile builders and crafters. “_**If you do not have the exact qualifications we specify below, but believe that you have strengths to add to our team, feel free to send in a resume specifying what contribution you think you can make."**_ **Responsibilities**: - Fabrication of complex shapes using various build methodologies - Shaping lumber and other material such as plywood, plexi glass, foam, exotic woods etc.. - Cabinetry& Millwork - Create “finish ready work” for the paint and staining process **This Position Requires**: - A motivated person with a keen interest in creative work - Problem Solving - Very good communication skills and a positive attitude - Ability to work in a fast-paced and goal-oriented environment and adapt quickly to new procedures. - The ability to adapt quickly to new building methodologies - The ability to Read blueprints, drawings and sketches - Proficiency and accuracy with hand tools, power tools, and sliding table saw is expected **Preferred Qualifications**: - Minimum 2 years in Cabinet Making/joinery or minimum 4 years in the general woodworking industry with shop experience. - A valid Driver’s license - Health and Safety certificate **Salary**: From $18.82 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed **Experience**: - carpentry: 1 year (preferred) **Language**: - English (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (preferred) Ability to Commute: - Delta, BC V3M 6K8 (required) Work Location: In person
