**About the Opportunity**

This is an entry level CAD technician position

Here’s what you’ll need to do:

- Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations
- Take 3D CAD files such as Inventor and Solid works and convert to 2D files
- Develop and prepare 3D models from design sketches or shop drawings
- Modify existing 3D models
- Utilize your expertise in CAD software to create technical drawings from 3D models
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
- Issue work orders for our cabinet makers by reading the fabrication drawings, selecting the right material and preparing the cutting pattern
- Assist running CNC machines if required to build prototype on occasion
- Hardware testing on products
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials on occasion
- Help build product on occasion
- Maintain an inventory of materials, tools, and supplies
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure project goals and timelines are met
- Any other duties as assigned by Design Manager

**About You**:
For primary consideration, you should bring:

- Completion of Inventor, Solid works or AutoCAD 3D Certificate
- Min. 1 year experience preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor and Solid works
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive and solution oriented
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- A drive for continuous improvement, working with others to enhance processes and internal resources
- Committed to doing everything within your role to meet or exceed our internal client and vendor expectations
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to roll up sleeves where needed on our busy Design Department.
