We are currently hiring for the position of:
**PHILANTHROPY OFFICER, CORPORATE PHILANTHROPY & FOUNDATIONS**

The Philanthropy Officer at TIFF plays a vital role, collaborating closely with the Director of Philanthropy to oversee a major gifts portfolio. This involves managing donations of $25,000 and above from corporate philanthropy and foundation sources, essential for sustaining TIFF's year-round and Festival programming and operations. They develop and execute tailored solicitation, upgrade, and retention strategies to generate annual revenue from philanthropic sources, working collaboratively with internal teams to identify and cultivate prospects, manage donor relationships, and fulfill benefits. Additionally, the officer provides essential support for Tribute Awards sales and events, oversees the Share Her Journey Giving Circle Programme, and manages the Moves Management process.

Beyond revenue, the Philanthropy Officer is entrusted with nurturing robust donor relationships and stewardship. They ensure sustained engagement with TIFF’s initiatives and produce impactful reports showcasing the organization’s achievements. Establishing and nurturing interpersonal ties with donors and stakeholders is central, fostering a vibrant philanthropic community aligned with TIFF's mission.
- Operationally, the Philanthropy Officer takes the lead in developing and implementing Funds and Campaigns, collaborates on new initiatives to engage supporters, and serves as a liaison for multiple internal teams, managing requests and activities intersecting with the Philanthropy Team's objectives. They aid in goal setting, pipeline development, and ticket management, leveraging their 2-3 years of fundraising expertise and adept communication and project management skills. Their role entails navigating the dynamic philanthropic landscape to drive revenue, foster donor relations, and propel TIFF’s mission in the arts and culture sector forward.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Shall include but not be limited to:
**R**evenue Generation**- Responsible for the management of a major gifts portfolio (50-70+ prospects), securing contributions of $25,000+ and raising 6-figures per annum-
- Support the Director, Philanthropy, the Senior Management Team, and Sr. Volunteers, on a high-volume, comprehensive sales outreach process, including sales calls, meetings, proposal and contract development (incl. outreach for Tribute)- Researches and pursues new corporate philanthropy and foundation funding at the major gifts level, developing, and sustaining long term support of TIFF- Maintains a thorough and accurate understanding of the organization’s strategic objectives, programs, benefits and funding priorities to effectively connect supporters to funding-
- Collaborates with other departments to develop creative funding opportunities and strategies-
- Provides key support in the development, implementation, and roll-out of new Campaigns (major and dedicated, e.g. Every Story)-
- Works closely with the Director, Philanthropy, to devise specific strategies, goals, and timetables for successful solicitations.-
- Creates compelling, personalized proposals and special solicitation correspondence for presentation to donors and prospects from corporate philanthropic / foundation sources-
- Assists with the Philanthropy and execution of fundraising events, including the annual TIFF Tribute Awards fundraiser-
- Continuously monitors status of current donors and identifies prospects for new gifts**Donor Relations**- Oversees the stewardship of existing and new corporate philanthropy / foundation funder relationships by ensuring their awareness of, attendance, and participation in TIFF programs and events throughout the year—as well as the year-round impact of their investment.-
- Creates tailored impact reports based on impact-driven metrics and narratives.-
