Security Supervisor - Full Time (Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada)

The Security Supervisor is the primary point of contact between the client and the team on each account that he or she is responsible for. They work closely with their team and act as a mentor to those they supervise. The Security Supervisor is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the client receives a quality service in a timely fashion and within the budget limitations. The Security Supervisor is also in collaboration with the Security Manager, Regional Manager and ultimately the Director plus the sales team responsible for developing the region’s client base and sells all of our primary services, maintaining the quality service and relationships within the region in line with the annual business development plan.

Responsibilities:
As a Supervisor you will be responsible for oversight of ESM guard personnel, engage in operational service delivery, promotion and sell services lines for the brand. The Supervisors responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Develop continuous Sales
- Respond to our client’s requests with a quick, flexible, and operational approach that is based on sound strategy and that includes the client in the operational experience.
- Take responsibility for the final product our company delivers to the client.
- Be a Team Leader and provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff.
- Know all Divisional policy and procedure, and ensure the staff adheres to them as is necessary during the execution of assignments.
- Maintain an individual case load and achieve sustainable billable time.
- Service client requirements
- Operational project delivery for large projects and industrial disputes
- Development and expansion of business opportunities including:

- Identifying opportunities
- Preparation and delivery of presentations
- Innovation and solutions to client issues
- Sales and marketing
- Control of operational plans for the control of budget spending, service efficiency, quality and customer service
- Keeping employees informed as to the company/department plans and progress, maintains appropriate communications within area of responsibility
- Any other reasonable duty expected by senior management
- Working in close liaison with managers representing different service lines

Education:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in related field, accompanied with security guard or investigation training and work experience. Citizen, Permeant Resident a or work visa with at least 6 months to run.
- High School Diploma preferential or equivalent
- Basic security guard training course.
- Fluent written and spoken English, second language a benefit.

Professional/Technical Certification or Licenses:

- Possess a valid Security Guard License
- Valid full driving essential
- First Aid, WHMIS, H2S Alive and CPR certification is an asset

Job Knowledge or Work Experience:

- 6+ years’ experience in a Loss Prevention/Security Management role.
- Excellent listening, reading and administration skills, effective communicator (verbal and written English, second languages a benefit), well organized and detail oriented.
- Fit and healthy to be able to walk unaided while on site, stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to motivate, inspire and lead a team.
- Goal-oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence and determination.
- An analytical thinker with advanced problem solving skills. Ability to approach a problem from different perspectives and explore all angles.
- Use technical/functional expertise:

- Possesses up-to-date knowledge of marketplace.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships; customer service oriented.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Nimble or Ximble a benefit.
- Knowledge of QR Patrol a benefit.
- Must be willing to travel between sites.

Working Conditions/Environment:

- Dynamic reporting lines, direct report, operational and administrative to Regional Manager, Senior Vice President of Western Canada
- This position will require long days, possibly night and weekend working

- Compensation - $20 per hour plus benefits, RRSP matching
