Division Overview:
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. Position Overview:
Reporting to the Plant Manger as a key member of our manufacturing facility, the EHS Coordinator will be responsible for managing, and coordinating all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities in the Plant to proactively drive programs and create a culture to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all of our employees. In addition, this position will work closely with the Corporate Environmental Health and Safety department to understand the true value of Safety in Crown Americas and achieve a World class level of Safety at the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position’s responsibilities will also include but not be limited to the following:
Safety Programs & Training: Maintain and regularly update internal safety programs. Provide training monthly and as needed to ensure compliance and reinforce a strong safety culture to all staff.

Develop and Implement S.I.F. Mitigation Program: Create and execute a comprehensive Severe Injury and Fatality prevention strategy to reduce high-risk incidents and enhance workplace safety.

Compliance Training Leadership: Ensure all leadership achieve required certification and training as required, reinforcing regulatory and corporate standards.

Human & Operational Performance Training: Deliver and promote awareness programs focused on Human and Operational Performance principles to drive continuous improvement and safety culture.

Lead Safety Initiatives: Drive the implementation of the Safe Start & internal programs, emphasizing Human Factors to enhance safety culture across the plant.

Incident Analysis & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive root cause investigations for all incidents, near-miss events, and identified hazards to promote a safe work environment. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all findings and corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with provincial, federal, local, and corporate environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and standards. Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping to support audits and continuous improvement. Ensure that all employee training is completed, documented and maintained in regard to regulatory requirements

Audit Follow-Up & Corrective Actions: Track and ensure timely completion of internal audits and corrective actions resulting from them and corporate audits.

Regulatory Program Management: Oversee compliance for hazardous waste, air quality, and water programs.

Environmental Stewardship: Drive pollution prevention initiatives and implement waste minimization strategies.

Hazard Communication & Training: Ensure effective communication of workplace hazards and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Noise Exposure: Manage noise exposure programs, including audiometric testing.

Control of Hazardous Energy: Maintain comprehensive hazardous energy control programs (Lockout/Tagout) to protect employees during equipment servicing and maintenance.

**Job Requirements**

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline required

3-5 years in an environmental, health and safety role

Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of all local, provincial and federal laws and regulations

Ability to work any shift to support employees on all shifts

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Experience with Velocity and Alchemy an asset

Approximately 10% overnight travel
