**Philosophy**: All children deserve to have the highest quality of education that can be provided to them. Educators have the most important jobs that exist as they prepare children for a world of learning. An Educator should be a leader, coach, counselor, and facilitator to their students. An important part of education is a close, positive parent-teacher partnership. ECEAs & RAs in our centers should be an excellent example of high values and be a role model for the children.
**Accountability**: You are the Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) or Responsible adult (RA) of a busy center and report to the Director of the center.
**Job Summary**: You are to report directly to the director, and teach a busy preschool. You are to have great communication skills to talk to parents on a daily basis. You are to ensure that the health and safety of the children is your most important goal. You are to implement the planned curriculum and goals of the center. Must be enthusiastic, energetic, creative, able to work under pressure and multi-task, love the outdoors, and able to do light cleaning.
**Job Requirements**: ECEA or RA certificate and a valid ECEA License to practice in BC. You must have current BC Driver’s License and a current and clean Criminal Record check as well as a valid First-Aid and CPR certificate. You must have 3 work-related references, be reliable, consistent, compassionate, effective communicator and able to work under pressure and flexible with scheduling. Must be able to attend monthly staff meetings, flexible and able to come in on short notice for staff coverages if another staff falls sick.
**Salary & Benefits**: You will be required to work 20-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 7am-6pm with a changing schedule. Staff are entitled to 1 week vacation after 12-consectutive months of employment to a maximum of 3-weeks. Wage depends on experience.
