**ESTIMATOR - PRE-CONSTRUCTION**

Located in downtown Toronto, Podium Developments is growing and is looking for an enthusiastic, and motivated **Estimator**to join our Pre-Construction team.

Founded twenty years ago and a registered Tarion builder since 2006, Podium Developments has a successful track record in rezoning, developing, and constructing sensitive urban infill locations, often near major institutions. With over 1 billion of real estate completed or under construction in the GTA and Kingston area, Podium Developments has demonstrated tremendous expertise in bringing new developments to fruition. We have earned an enviable reputation of delivering quality projects on time and on budget.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Your role as an Estimator will be to support our Pre-Construction team in preparing and maintaining project estimates that guide successful project delivery. You will play a key role in developing accurate conceptual and detailed cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle, supporting the project teams in data-driven decision-making. This is a hands-on, systems-oriented role that will provide deep exposure to the front end of real estate development and construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To support the Pre-Construction team in the preparation and management of:

- Conceptual and detailed cost estimates (Class D, C, B) using ProEst
- Quantity take-offs across all project disciplines
- Updates to estimates throughout design and construction phases
- Entry of estimates into Procore for budgeting
- Cost Projection Reports
- Cash Flow Forecasts and reporting
- Bid levelling and procurement analysis
- Coordination with project teams to ensure estimates are aligned with scope and schedule

To support the corporate estimating function:

- Maintenance of estimate templates, standard reports, and unit rate databases in ProEst
- Harvesting of unit rates from bids and project data
- Assisting with continual improvement of estimating processes and systems

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Experience preparing construction estimates for residential or mixed-use developments
- Familiarity with estimating and project management software (ProEst and Procore preferred)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Experience with bid levelling and procurement support is an asset
