As a Full Time Material Handler Specialist, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives
You will work for the PPG Aerospace division at an off-site location in Oakville, ON.
**Some of your job responsibilities may include**:
- Perform manual and clerical tasks involved in shipping or receiving products
- Sort and deliver materials within a customer site to point of use locations and scanning inventory.
- Responsible for all aspects of delivering products in PPG company vehicle to chemical management customers and receiving materials from house and Tier II suppliers
- With support, handle and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to the established guidelines.
- Read and interprets production orders and pack tickets
- Provide information for recording movement of incoming and outgoing material and supplies.
- Follow material handling processes and procedures to receive, store, assemble, label, pick, pack and ship individual components or kitted together for final distribution or shipping to several locations
- Load material at our ASC and unloads at customer location up to the point of use cabinets and freezers.
- Operate forklift or motorized pallet jack.
- Report to SMS Chemical Manager
**Qualifications**:
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Seek up to 1 to 4 years’ experience in related material handing experience and warehouse experience.
- Must have knowledge of TDG, FAA, DOT and IATA
- Valid G driver’s license & qualified to drive delivery van and forklift truck
- Will safely operate hand and power tools, drum dollies, and powered forklifts with or without reasonable accommodation
- Will use and wear all required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation
- Available to work rotating shifts, work any job, and possible overtime
- Computer proficient
- Customer service skills
