Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will oversee all of the Financial Service Managers in each of the Dealerships of the Steele Auto Group. Your goal will be to establish operations processes, train, recruit, and on-board, all new Financial Service Managers joining the group. You will identify areas of opportunity and strive to achieve industry bench marks.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Analyze and present improvements to the functioning finance departments within the group
- Develop a compliance program to ensure consistent practices across the group
- Develop a training program based on compliance, deal structuring, sales and customer experience
- Identify growth opportunities for SAG finance operations
- Onboard finance departments of new acquisitions
- Work with dealership management to ensure they are achieving their sales objectives. This includes creating and following up on action plans
- Develop onboarding program for prime FSM’s and work with dealership managers to train new hires
- Liaison with First Canadian to ensure finance process delivers a customer centric experience with top level sales results
- Analyze standard dealership finance operations reporting.
- Assess (and recommend improvement strategies) for automotive dealership finance operations processes and practices including development, deployment, and reporting of needs assessments and gap analyses.
- Train and implement key elements within a variety of dealer tools, i.e. PBS, CDK and other DMS, dealer performance tools.
- Read, interpret and make training material content recommendations.
- Assess workflow processes and recommend performance improvement initiatives,
- Leadership practices, i.e. communicating, planning, inspiring and motivating
- Management practices, i.e. organizing, evaluating, coaching/counseling and directing
- Operational practices, i.e. budget cycle performance, project timeline, product quality, office efficiency, etc.
- Conduct a detailed skills/gap analysis to identify areas where skill development is required.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance manager capacity
- Ability to lead and direct groups of employees/participants
- Be prompt, punctual and detailed orientated.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract
- Experience with multiple brands an asset
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
