Gaslight Events Company is looking for an experienced Line/Prep Cook to join our amazing team Operating in the up and coming Gaslight District in Cambridge, we are focused on providing our guests with a truly world class experience at Tapestry Hall, Foundry Tavern, Bellflower Market, and the Underwing.

**YOU ARE**:

- Passionate about food and cooking with a willingness to learn
- Versed in food safety to ensure the highest standards are executed
- Experienced in completing inventory checks for food items
- A hard worker driven to achieve individual, team and company goals
- Versed in health and safety and food preparation
- Eager to learn the process of operating a busy kitchen

**What will be your responsibilities as a cook?**
- Learn various stations including but not limited to: Cold/fry, flat top/grill/broiler and prep/line set up
- Prepare fresh ingredients, unique Canadian recipes and send out only top-quality dishes
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and clean work environment at all times
- Work with the team to execute large volumes of orders and pars
- Communicate clearly, calmly, and often
- Gain experience in the business side of cooking - learn about food costing and time management

**Qualifications**:

- You have minimum 1 year of restaurant Line Cook experience (in a comparable full-service restaurant environment)
- You have strong organization & time management skills
- You are passionate about food & culinary excellence
- You are driven, you take initiative & you never turn your head from a standard
- You know success comes from dedication & hard work, which you do not shy away from
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You are able to work days, nights, weekends & holidays in a full-time capacity
- You are able to make a minimum one (1) year commitment to our team
- You may be interested in working towards your Red Seal

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.50 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON N1S 0B7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
