**Job Title**: Line Striping Labourer - Asphalt Maintenance

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Surface Preparation**:

- Clean and prepare surfaces for striping by removing debris, dirt, or old markings.
- Ensure the surface is adequately primed for optimal paint adherence.
- **Line Striping**:

- Measure, layout, and paint straight lines, arrows, symbols, handicap markers, and custom designs on parking lots and roadways.
- Operate and maintain striping equipment, including airless sprayers and walk-behind striping machines.
- Use stencils and templates for consistent and accurate markings.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure all markings are clear, precise, and compliant with local municipal and provincial regulations, including Alberta accessibility guidelines and client requirements.
- Conduct inspections to verify accuracy and durability of work.
- **Maintenance & Safety**:

- Maintain striping equipment, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and traffic control measures.
- **Customer Interaction**:

- Communicate professionally with clients to confirm project details and ensure satisfaction upon completion.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in line striping, asphalt maintenance, or related fields preferred but can also be willing to learn and be trained.
- Proficiency in operating line striping equipment and tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Knowledge of Alberta municipal regulations and accessibility standards is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project instructions
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy equipment for extended periods
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $19.00-$24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lethbridge, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Construction: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Driving Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (required)
