Painter/technician

The Marriott Victoria Inner Harbour Hotel is a full-service, four-diamond 236-room hotel located downtown, with 5,000 square feet of functional meeting space.

We are currently recruiting for the position of Full-Time Painter & Technician. A typical day in this position may include the following:

- Carrying out painting and maintenance activities in accordance with the departmental standards to all areas of the hotel. This will include guest bedrooms, public areas, and all back of house areas.
- Carrying out regular floor walks to inspect all wall coverings and paintwork to guest corridors and public areas including “back of house”.
- Removing old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water.
- Covering surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
- Cleaning up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

**What you could bring to the team**:

- Previous painting experience.
- Drywall experience is an asset
- Maintenance experience an asset
- Willingness to learn basic hotel maintenance
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Able to stand and or walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift push or pull up to 50 lbs
