Northern Dock Systems, the industry leader in the sales and service of loading dock equipment, industrial doors and HVLS Fans, is looking for an experienced **Financial Controller** to join our growing team. At NDS we take pride in our staff - they are the backbone of all that we do - and as we grow, we are looking for talented additions to our team

The Controller will report to the President of NDS, and work closely with Senior Finance of Operations. This role will be responsible for managing a small team, providing leadership and coordination of company financial budgeting, planning, forecasting and reporting.

**Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to**:

- Define, update, and implement finance and accounting objectives that are aligned with NDS’ strategy
- Oversee reports to ensure timely and accurate completion of finance duties such as including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, general ledger maintenance etc.
- Payroll and Group Insurance Administration
- Government payment and taxes
- Cash flow analysis, forecasting & budgeting reports
- Act as liaison to external accountants and banks
- Establish and monitor regulatory compliance and internal controls
- Ensure accurate monthly & year end Financial Statement preparation.
- Create regular and ad hoc reports for management and ownership as requested.
- Implement and improve accounting polices and procedures

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- CPA or CA Designation in good standing
- Undergraduate education in Accounting, Finance, or related studies
- 5-10 years experience in Financial Controllership role
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Strong numericalproficiency and attention to detail
- Experience managing direct reports and working alongside multiple departments
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word
- Any applicable ERP experience is an asset

Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $75,000.00 per year
