**About Angelic Treasures Christian Daycare in Aurora**

ATCD in Aurora is a licensed daycare that is located at 126 Wellington Street West, Aurora. The daycare has 8 rooms, 2 playgrounds, and has capacity for 96 children.

We are looking to recruit an assistant daycare teacher who not only cares for our children, but helps them meet important milestones by equipping them with the right knowledge and care. ATCD in Aurora offers all-day programming in our infant, toddler, preschool, and JK/SK classrooms.

**Professional Qualifications**
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - LEVEL C (required)
- Current Immunizations (required)
- Two Step Tuberculosis Screening (required)
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare-specific or related setting (required)
- Familiar with How Does Learning Happen and ELECT Documents (preferred)
- Food Handlers Certificate (preferred)

**Responsibilities**:

- Report writing (daily log books and evaluations). Legibility and some speed is required.
- Assist children in completing tasks of daily living (eating, toileting, dressing and using learning materials such as scissors, pencils, lego, etc.)
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with other employees, families, and outside agencies in an effort to properly support the needs of individual children.
- Commit to learning and upholding the operational and curriculum requirements that must be met in compliance with all Ministry and organizational guidelines.
- Note: Staff are required to work outside during the outdoor play period every day in all weather except extreme cold, extreme humidity and rain storms._
- Staff will be exposed to childhood illness and disease that are prevalent in childcare centers._
- Staff will be exposed to unpleasant odors relating to children’s toileting routine and cleaning up when children are sick._
