**Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager**

**Job Type**: Full-Time, Permanent

**Responsibilities**:

- Be a voice in the strategic planning phase of upcoming projects.
- Assist the project manager in the day-to-day management of projects and staff to ensure quality, client standards, and schedule requirements are met.
- Track and directly report project status updates to the project manager.
- Help problem-solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project.
- Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents.
- Enter information into and manage the digital project databases.
- Help coordinate and manage the project from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements.
- Manage RFIs and Change Orders
- Prepare drawing packages and issue them to the client per scheduled delivery dates.
- Ensure the project adheres to a schedule and meets the client's goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Any level of knowledge of Tekla Structures or detailing software.
- Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction and fabrication and the ability to read drawings
- Self-motivated and able to complete multiple tasks with mínimal guidance
- Deadline-driven with attention to detail
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Skilled collaborator
- Excels in a high-paced work environment
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Focused and supportive to management at all times
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Adaptable and calm under pressure
- Expert problem solver

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/certificate
- Canadian Citizenship/Legally able to work in Canada
