**Job Description**:
**Design Manager**

At Maple Reinders, we are focused on delivering quality construction projects across Canada in the Building ICI, Heavy Civil and Environmental sectors.

As Design Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the execution/project team has been brought up to speed by being the bridge between the pursuit team and the execution/project team. Your passionate spirit for your craft will be evident in the efforts you put forth and your team focus will help in coordinating the work that you deliver.

**Other functions you can expect in this role**:

- ** Assist the Pursuit/Development team by: providing technical expertise, developing winning strategies, identifying concerns with the design for constructability, developing and maintaining relationships with design and technical firms**:

- ** Assist the Execution/Project team by: disseminating information from the project pursuit to the project execution team, assisting in the finalizing of the design and being available to the team in an advisory capacity during construction**:

- ** Ensure the continued advancement of new technologies for Maple Reinders by: participating in training and conferences to explore new technologies, witnessing and/or conducting testing of new technologies to determine suitability for partnering with Maple Reinders and building relationships with potential international partners**

**Qualifications/ Skills**:

- **University degree in Engineering, Engineering and or Architectural Technology Diploma, or a combination of education and industry experience.**:

- **At least 10 years experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.**:

- ** Knowledge of Industrial, Commercial, Institutional (ICI) Buildings, and civil infrastructure construction.**:

- **Professional Designation preferred - P.Eng and/or Gold Seal /LEED certification**:

- ** The ability to use/learn industry specific software programs such as Timberline, and MS Project.**:

- ** Valid driver’s license.**
