Work Setting: Apartment building
- Identify actual and potential workplace hazards by inspecting the workplace regularly and auditing of equipment and procedures. Provide timely detailed reports of inspection results to the site and senior managers.
- Educate the sites of existing solutions and measures to mitigate hazards assist with implementation. Perform onsite training as required.
- Make recommendations to the employer about health and safety in the workplace.
- Be present and consulted at the beginning of health and safety related testing in the workplace.
- Outline and implement training programs informing workers on procedures and policies related to work safety, environmental safety and accident prevention.
- Develop and distribute educational materials including seasonal alerts.
- Review existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations recommending corrections or additions.
- Provide consultation to site managers and staff on health and safety inquiries.
- Perform investigations after any injury or near miss sustained in the workplace. Provide detailed reports and any corrective actions required
- Review accident reports to understand causes and recommend policy/procedure changes to prevent future accidents.
- Procure and distribute health and safety supplies not available through normal supplier chain.
- The health and safety representative works with the in-house health and safety inspector, reports directly to the manager of health and safety and is in consultation with the human resources manager.

Association for Canadian Registered Safety Professionals Certification, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year
