Acheson, Canada Prairie North Const. Ltd. Full time

Prairie North Group Ltd. is recruiting for the role of a qualified and safety focused full time tractor and winch tractor operator to operate a Kenworth T800 tri-axle winch truck, lowboys, hiboys, scissor necks, and wheelers (with or without jeep and/or booster).

**Role Overview**:

- Transportation of heavy equipment to various field construction locations to support their operations.
- Transport oversized, over weight loads and manage daily transport permits.
- Loading and unloading equipment from trailers safely.
- Assemble and operate multi-axle trailer combinations.
- Ensure loads are properly secured as per NSC requirements.
- Manage electronic logging device (ELD) and complete daily pre-trip inspections.
- Adhere to traffic laws when driving.
- Perform minor preventative maintenance to support winch truck operation.
- Attend morning toolbox meetings, engaging in a constructive and contributing manner.

**Qualifications**:

- Must possess a valid class 1 driver's license and provide a clean driver’s abstract (5 year commercial).
- 5 Years previous experience hauling equipment, as well as operating a wide variety of equipment (inc. rock trucks, dozers, excavators, scrapers, packers, graders, etc.). This includes oversized, overweight hauling.
- Demonstrated ability with experience operating winch tractor, wheeler trailer and scissor neck trailers
- Knowledgeable in NSC cargo securement, pre-trip inspection, and hours of service (HOS) rules.
- Knowledgeable in provincial weights and dimensions requirements as well as permitting.
- Experience with (federal) hours-of-service (HOS) tracking via electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to incorporate health and safety concepts into work activities.
- Knowledge of the construction/trucking industry is preferred.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Must have demonstrated ability to work under mínimal supervision.
- Have good communication skills and an ability to work as a team.
- Dependable with a strong track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Physically fit, able to lift 50lbs.
- Proficient in English language.
- Valid certifications are an asset (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS, CSO, etc.)

**Work Conditions**:

- Full time, permanent position
- Home most night. Some over night stays in truck or hotel will be required.
- Must be willing to work in remote job locations
- Working schedule to follow 70/7 cycle.
