Fabricator and Installer

Sunrise Roll Up and Shades is a growing company that creates and installs screens and security shutters for clients all over Southwestern Ontario. We offer energy savings, security and protection to residential and commercial properties. We are a family-owned business in need of a general laborer for a flexible position at our shop here in Port Stanley, Ontario. This team also travels across Southwestern Ontario, servicing existing units as well as installing new ones

- We are seeking a team player with integrity, teachability and a strong work ethic. You must have an attention to detail. Construction experience is preferred, but we can train you provided you have some experience with manual labour and power tools.
- Reliability is crucial. We need all members of the team to be reliable and dependable in order for the production to run smoothly and for the installations to occur on time. Punctuality, and the ability to lift heavy objects are essential to success in this position.

- Job Duties: Following technical drawings and measurements to create shutters and screen units Using power tools, saws, and tables saws to prefabricate units Loading/unloading trailers with material Communication with Team members Constructing prefabricated shutter or screen units on site Driving, as a team, to installation sites (house or commercial) to install shutters or screens Ensure that the shop is in order and the tools/materials are put away accordingly
- Requirements: Experience with power tools and manual labour Commitment to being a team member Effective verbal and listening skills Commitment to quality and safety Ability to take on responsibility and ownership during builds and installations Valid G License (preferred) Ability to work independently but also take direction from our team leader Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100lbs assisted, stand and walk for long periods, work long days when required Forklift experience is an asset The ability to drive a truck with a trailer is an asset, but not necessary
- Work Conditions: Safety boots must be worn Appropriate dust masks/ safety glasses must be worn for certain tasks You will be required to safely operate a variety of hand and power tools Lifting of heavy objects The shop can be a busy and loud environment, but fun Stamina is required for some long, physically demanding days on job sites

*Performance review will take place 6 weeks after employment start date. There is a lot of potential for growth within our company*

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
