**About the role**
At Graham, we recognize that our subcontractors bring a wealth of expertise and experience to our projects, that is a key factor in our success. As a member of the subcontractor risk management team, the Risk Advisor will play a critical role in the prequalification of subcontractors to ensure that we are aligning the unique expertise and experience of each subcontractor with the specific requirements of our projects. In this role you will lead training sessions to encourage the adoption of SDI, while promoting best practices in risk management.
**As a Risk Advisor on the Subcontractor Risk Management team at Graham you will**:
- Complete comprehensive risk assessments of potential subcontractors to ensure that they have the experience, operational capacity and financial resources required to work with Graham.
- Review and analyze financial statements and assess financial metrics to assess risk, liquidity and capacity.
- Assist project teams with the development of subcontractor management plans to mitigate the risk of subcontractor defaults.
- Support the management and administration of our subcontractor default insurance (SDI) program.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships and open communication with internal project teams to promote awareness of risk management practices and procedures.
- Establish collaborative relationships with subcontractors with a strong emphasis on confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
- Respond to questions from internal and external sources regarding the prequalification and approval process, SDI and subcontractor risk management.
- Participate in formal risk management training sessions to pmote and reinforce responsible risk management practices and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, accounting, finance or similar business-related field.
- CRM professional designation an asset.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in risk management, commercial management, surety underwriting or supply chain management role.
- Excellent knowledge of financial statements and financial analysis
- Construction industry or subcontractor risk management experience preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to quality standards and deadlines
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite
