The Waring House Inn & Restaurant in Picton is seeking friendly and easy going individuals to work at the Front Desk. At the front desk, you will be the “face” of the company for all visitors and are responsible for a welcoming first impression.

**Duties**:

- Greet guests and welcome them to the property
- Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties
- Address guest’s questions and concerns by actively listening and providing them with appropriate information, direction and a professional demeanor
- Book reservations for dining, accommodations, cookery school and special events.
- Accept and sign delivery of letters, packages etc. and distribute them either in office or have them sent to their appropriate department.
- Keep the reception area tidy and presentable with restocking of supplies, and light cleaning duties (including dusting and vacuuming)
- Assist guests with minor room issues (TV troubleshooting, extra linens or amenities)

Qualifications:

- Experience as front desk representative or agent of relevant position
- Familiarity with the use of office equipment (e.g. fax, printer, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of customer service
- Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Strong communication and people skills
- Strong at multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment a requirement
- Must be available to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in the hotel industry and asset, but not a requirement

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Picton, ON K0K 2T0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Hotel & Accommodations Guest Services Staff: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
