This is a unionized position (UFCW Local 832) that offers a weekend shift premium, HCRA and RSP account.

Although this is a part-time position - It is important to note that this position will have the opportunity to cross-train for coverage for other kitchen positions & shifts - and to increase working hours, if desired.

Duties include:

- Assist with finalizing dinner and any dinner-related duties as assigned by supervising Cook.
- Serving dinner to senior residents, being mindful of any allergies and special diets.
- Dinner clean-up: Emptying steam table and putting food away as per Food Safety guidelines
- Cleaning/washing steam table and dishes, including coffee pots. Operate clean cycle on oven, as required.
- Oversee Kitchen Helper and ensure all jobs are completed in kitchen & dining area (Tables set, condiments filles, lights off, etc)
- Ensure all end-of day tasks are completed including lock up

Must be a reliable, compassionate, quick learner and enjoy working with seniors. Successful completion of the Food Handlers' course, Criminal Record check and Vulnerable sector check (or willingness to obtain) are a requirement.

Preference will be given to applicants with cooking experience.

**Salary**: $15.00-$17.96 per hour

- St. Malo, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
