Dishwasher / Bakery Helper

**POSITION TITLE**: Full-Time Dishwasher (Must be able to work on Saturday & Sundays)

**LOCATION**: Village Grocer (Markham, Ontario)

**TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR**: Bakery Manager

- Willing to learn care of industrial chemicals used in the dishwashing process
- Available to work Saturday & Sundays
- Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance
- Adheres to company dress code (uniform, uniform/hat/hairnet)
- Maintains a clean and safe work-space environment
- Endure medium to high levels of physical exertion (standing, bending, lifting, etc.)
- Bakery equipment familiarity and handling (cookware, measuring utensils, weigh scales, mixer parts, etc).
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Observes company code of conduct, policies and store rules
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Oversee dishwashing duties and efficiently operate dishwasher equipment/chemicals
- Wash dishes, trays, pots or pans etc. using dishwashers or by hand
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Retrieve supplies or goods in bakery or storage areas
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated recycling & pickup areas
- Clean garbage receptacles with water or steam
- **Working Conditions**_
- Inside, loud, hot, slippery floors, fast paced
- Walk-in coolers, freezers
- May sustain minor cuts, burns and bruises on occasion while on the job
