**Technicien de simulateur vol**
Au sein du groupe des services techniques de la division de la formation et des services civils de CAE, le titulaire doit réaliser toutes les tâches de maintenance préventive et corrective sur plusieurs simulateurs de vol et dispositifs connexes au centre de formation de CAE de Montréal.
Soutien technique opérationnel : (40 %)
- Soutien téléphonique en temps réel pour recevoir et régler les problèmes techniques directement sur le simulateur de vol.
- Préparation du simulateur pour la formation du client et exécution des essais avant le vol.
- Exécution de tâches de maintenance préventive, d'essais de validation des avions (essai de certification) et réalisation et restauration des sauvegardes de disque des ordinateurs et des systèmes.
Soutien technique d'enquête et d'intégration : (40 %)
- Diagnostic et résolution de défaillances complexes exigeant des données ou de la recherche supplémentaires sur les caractéristiques et les comportements fondamentaux de l'avion.
- Repérage et remplacement de composantes défectueuses du simulateur de vol;
- Validation de différentes corrections d'anomalies sur le dispositif de simulateur de vol.
- Tenue et consignation du contrôle de la configuration logicielle et matérielle.
- Capacité de lire et d'interpréter des dessins électriques et électromécaniques et des documents de conception.
- Capacité de définir les problèmes, de recueillir des données, d'établir les faits et de tirer des conclusions valables; capacité d'interpréter les exigences complexes du client.
- Expérience facultative des aéronefs et des systèmes pour appliquer des correctifs pratiques à un simulateur.
- Excellentes compétences pour les communications verbales et écrites, en français comme en anglais.
Tâches administratives, documentation et projets : (20 %)
- Consignation du travail de manière périodique, objective et officielle dans le système de renseignements sur le système de formation (Gemini);
- Mise à jour de la documentation et des procédures.
- Participation et apprentissage actif dans le cadre de cours de formation technique et d'occasions d'apprentissage en cours d'emploi.
Exigences
- DEC en électronique, télécommunication, système ordinés ou l’équivalent.
- Expérience connexe en modification et manipulation logicielle et électronique;
- Connaissance des langages de programmation Windows, Unix, C, C++, du langage de script, un atout.
- Intérêt à comprendre la relation entre le matériel technique et l'interaction logicielle liée à la simulation de vol.
- Familiarisation avec la théorie et les principes de base en électronique et avec les dispositifs d'essai électronique.
- Excellent sens de l'organisation et de la planification.
- Disponible pour quart de jour, soir, nuit et fin de semaine.
**Flight Simulator Technician**
As part of the Technical Services department within CAE’s Civil Training and Services division, perform all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on several CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and associated devices at the CAE Montreal Training Center.
The incumbent will support the following roles and responsibilities:
Technical operational support: (40%)
- Support customers via simulator phone hotline. Receive and address technical issues related to the flight simulators in the Training Center
- Preparation of the simulator for customer training and running pre-flight tests
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks, aeroplane validation tests (QTG) and performing and restoring system/computer disk backups
- Able to understand and translate the ambiguity between customer requests and technical deliverables
Technical investigative and integration support: (40%)
- Being able to efficiently troubleshoot equally in both hardware and software issues in the flight simulator environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electro-mechanical drawings and design documents
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Able to interpret complex customer requirements
- Diagnosis and resolving of complex deficiencies that require additional data or research into aeroplane fundamental characteristics and behaviors
- Identifying and replacing defective flight simulator components
- Validating various snag fixes directly on the flight simulator device
- Maintaining and documenting configuration control in both software and hardware
Administrative duties, documentation and projects: (20%)
- Logging work on a regular, objective and formal basis in training system information system (Gemini)
- Update technical documentation and procedures
- Participating and actively learning in technical training courses and on-the-job learning opportunities
