FDM Designs is an award-winning interior design firm located in Vaughan. We are looking to grow our team with people who share our energy and passion for the best in interior design.

We are seeking an AutoCAD Technician with 8-10 years of related experience in residential and office/commercial spaces and condo buildings. If you have a technical eye for design then we want to hear from you. Our firm is interested in hiring an experienced AutoCAD Technician to work with our team. The AutoCAD Technician will be part of a collaborative team of Engineers, Architects and Design Assistants.

**Responsibilities**:

- Translate various digital file formats to create useable AutoCAD drawings;
- Produce millwork shop drawings of the product line from Interior Design Drawings;
- Effectively review mechanical and structural drawings and review locations;
- Communicate effectively with Consultants and client representatives;
- Collaborate with others as part of a team;
- Operate computer-assisted design (AutoCAD);
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data;
- Calculate square footage and square meters on drawings for material calculations;
- Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates;
- Prepare presentation drawings and full set construction drawings;
- Knowledge of Revit is an Asset.
- Portfolio samples of work required for review.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 10 years of AutoCAD/Interior Design and Architectural experience in the various fields of design.
- Speed and accuracy in AutoCAD Interior Design Drawings.
- Able to complete a full set of construction drawings independently.
- Proficient in Auto Cad.
- Proficient in Interior Construction Millwork details.
- Working Knowledge of Sketch-Up in Interior Construction Millwork details.
- Full time in office requirement.

- Monday to Friday

- Sketchup: 10 years (preferred)
- Construction Millwork Details: 10 years (preferred)
- Revit: 5 years (preferred)
- Adobe Acrobat: 10 years (preferred)
- AutoCAD: 10 years (required)
- Interior Design: 10 years (required)
