Process Team Manager

**OVERVIEW**

You are an engineer\technologist **with leadership experience in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing operation**. You have a proven track record and a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills and a drive for continuous improvement. You enjoy a challenge and have the energy and vision to recognize and implement improvement opportunities both independently and as part of a team with members of all levels of an organization.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Accountable identifying and implementing improvements in Process equipment throughput, quality, safety and efficiency
- Manage the day-to-day issues and operations in the refinery
- Working closely with operational personnel to understand problems, perform troubleshooting and develop solutions together
- Use strong continuous improvement skills to enhance system reliability and identify/implement productivity and cost improvements including new technologies.
- Show thorough understanding of the interactions between machine, materials, methods, environment, and people to provide robust operating systems.
- Provide key technical support in capital projects and new product and Process equipment testing/start-ups.
- Ensure safety and quality aspects of the equipment meets company requirements
- Provide documentation, operator and maintenance training and support.
- Design and develop capital projects for new equipment installation
- Provide guidance, training and development to supervisors and hourly operators
- Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE**
- B.S. degree (or technology diploma) in Engineering, Process Science or related field from an accredited college/university.
- 5+ years of experience in Process engineering\technology, Process development, quality engineering, or manufacturing.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a unionized environment

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to lead diverse teams to challenge the status quo to achieve operational improvements
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems, develops solutions, and quickly implements their strategy.
- Proficient skills specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are required.

Fundamental understanding of food standards, safety and sanitary regulations and good manufacturing practices

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY**:
Manages a team of **9 Supervisors** and oversees department of approximately **50 hourly associates** within a unionized facility
