**Intermediate Construction Project Manager** Shape Construction, Canmore/Calgary **About Shape Construction** Shape Construction is under the Basecamp Properties umbrella. Basecamp Properties is a rapidly growing boutique chain of hotels based in Canmore & Banff, Alberta and Revelstoke & Golden, British Columbia. We are continuously expanding to better serve the resort communities of the Rocky Mountains. Shape Construction works side by side with our development company "Big Moose Realty LTD" building multi-family homes, town-homes, condos and commercial bays. Shape Construction has many projects on the go and upcoming in many Alberta and BC locations with many opportunities for growth **Position Overview** We require a full-time permanent Intermediate Construction Project Manager for multi-family/hotel/residential construction sites in the Canmore area. **Salary**: $90,000-$120,000+ (Depending on experience) Full-time/Permanent Hybrid/Remote Program Negotiable. **Key Responsibilities** **Project Management**: - Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specification and budget. - Handle project administration, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration. - Plans prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established schedules. - Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met. - Develop and implement quality control programs. - Prepare progress reports and issues progress schedules to management. - Assist estimator and purchaser with preparing and submitting construction project budget estimates. - Acquires equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies. - Reviewing project drawings. - Review interior details such us electrical and plumbing. - Booking engineering and building code inspections. **Building External Relationships**: - Collaborate with engineers, architects, and sub-tardes to determine the specifications of the projects. - Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate employees. - Determine needed recourses (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations. - Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. **Team Lead**: - Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues. - Communicating any pertinent information regarding projects timeliness, goals, or objectives to the Site Supervisors. - Coordinating manpower with the Site Supervisors. - Maximizing productivity by scheduling employees and sub-contractors to the proper projects. - Leading on-site coordination meetings weekly. - Be the lead health and safety representative for all sites. - Conduct quarterly meetings and investigate any incidents/accidents on sites. **Skills and Experience** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience in leading a team. - Completion of a post-secondary education in construction project management is considered an asset. - Sounds knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Knowledge of Procore Construction Management Software (an asset). **Requirements**: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction project managing in Canadian Work Experience in an Intermediate to Senior Role. - Must have experience in Residential, Multi Family, Hotel or relating project types. - Must be a Self Starter with Project Leadership Capabilities. - Must be well organized, good communicator and able to create schedules, chair meetings and demonstrate leadership capabilities. - Able to Initiate, Monitor and Deliver Project Plans with mínimal supervision. - Well Versed with Construction Industry Protocol & Structure.
