As Cashier/Pharmacy Assistant you will be responsible for assisting in receiving/processing orders, obtaining payment, providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to our customers. All software and pharmacy procedures training to be provided.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet customers when entering or leaving the store, in friendly and professional manner.

Maintain a high level of customer service. Assist customer with front store products.

Enter purchases by, department, taxable and nontaxable.

Handle cash/credit card transactions with customers, obtain accurate payment.

Bag and/or wrap packages for customer pick up and local deliveries.

Arrange/manage local deliveries. Ensure payment is processed prior to any type of delivery. Ensure all compounded orders are pre-paid before processing.

Process merchandise returns and exchanges, following strict policies and procedures.

Balance cash drawers end of day.

Maintain checkout operations by following policies and procedures.

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Call/text customers to inform them that their prescriptions are ready for pick up/delivery daily.

Set realistic customer expectations as to wait times and effectively communicate to the customer.

Be a team player, assist other staff in any free time you may have.

Physical demands: Standing for long hours/light lifting

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
General Math Skills, Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners) Able to communicate both verbally and written; Excellent listening skills. Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently. Attention to detail in all areas of work. Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Professional demeanor under stressful situations. Willingness to learn new things. Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers. Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm. Experience in pharmacy retail sales preferred.
