Yonge Cummer Pharmacy is a locally owned, community-focused pharmacy dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team.

**What You’ll Do**

**Customer Service**
- Greet customers promptly and gather prescription details.
- Refer all clinical questions to the pharmacist.
- Set realistic wait times and communicate clearly.
- Process prescription pick-ups, payments, and loyalty transactions.
- Handle inquiries in person and by phone while maintaining confidentiality.

**Administration**
- Receive, enter, and process new and refill prescriptions.
- Manage third-party billing and collect outstanding payments.
- Handle calls, faxes, and physician requests professionally.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation.

**Prescription Workflow**
- Prepare, package, and label prescriptions accurately.
- Select medications according to brand guidelines.
- Assist with compounding and other preparation tasks under pharmacist supervision.
- Prioritize prescriptions to ensure efficient workflow.

**General**
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient-centered care.
- Promote pharmacy programs and services.
- Keep work areas clean and follow all SOPs and regulatory requirements.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Pharmacy Assistant diploma (preferred).
- Previous pharmacy or retail experience an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and pharmacy software.
- Highly organized, with excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to speak additional languages is an asset.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M9L 2R7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)
