Embark Homes is a premier general contracting and project management company in the Greater Vancouver Area. Focusing on residential and commercial custom builds since 1993.

The purpose of this role is to work in conjunction with the Project Manager toward to successful completion of high end custom residential homes. This may include communicating with the clients and sub trades throughout the project.

The main aspects of the position will be - manage the budget, schedule, administrative work, sub-trade and supplier communications as directed by the project manager.

**Job description**

Construction Project Coordinator : Permanent Full-Time (~40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, Occasional Weekends).

Available: Now

Reporting to: Project Manager

This role includes but not limited to:

- Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day site coordination through onsite meetings and project management software
- Onsite meetings to review project quality, schedule, scope of works and site progress.
- Create schedules, project budgets, change orders, purchase orders for projects as directed by Project Manager through online management software.
- Review of all construction documents prior to commencement of site work to understand the intended construction outcome(s), allotted quantities of material and labour, schedule and timeline.
- To direct and coordinate site activities with paramount concern for the safety of all employees, sub-contractors, suppliers, and visitors in and around the construction site area
- To direct and coordinate site activities to maintain site schedule
- Maintain a tidy, well-organized and safe worksite.
- Create and confirm sub-trades complete agreed scope-of-work per approved purchase orders.
- Creation of change orders - in conjunction with Project Manger and Office Admin Staff.
- Confirm work is completed once applicable change orders are approved.
- Maintain the project construction schedule - report challenges jeopardizing the schedule.

- 3 years of construction, design, or similar industry experience
- Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Works well independently, and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Self Motivated and proactive work ethic
- Strong writing skills
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Vehicle required to commute to site

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Variable compensation structure, salary and commission base pay

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional Weekends
