**Assistant Warehouse Manager**

**COUNSELTRON** is currently recruiting for a Assistant Warehouse Manager. This position reports directly to the Operations Team and is responsible for maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and HR / HS policies and procedures.

COUNSELTRON is a National Importer of Kitchenware, Cookware and Health & Wellness products since 1984. We are customer centric focused.

**Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Working with and managing a small warehouse team focused on both pallet shipments and single item ship packages for e-commerce for Canada’s largest retailers
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical cycle counts; reconciling with inventory control systems
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; Quick Ship pick locations, inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Managing the facility interior and exterior areas including landscaping, basic repairs with Team Members
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**Skills and Abilities Required**
- **Minimum 5 years Experience working in a warehouse where you were involved in managing the shipping to retailers and on behalf of retailers single ship.**:

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use logic, technical knowledge, and strategic planning when required
- Problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal skills

**Qualifications**
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience is required
- A minimum of a college diploma
- Fork Lift license
- Working in portal with CHEP Pallet programs
- Working in Warehouse Management systems
- Working in excel and Transport portals
