**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join us at FiSH&SiPS.
This is a part-time position which could translate into more hours if desired.
Training provided, previous experience not essential, but appreciated.
We are a busy restaurant, so most importantly required are organizational skills.
We offer above average pay plus tips in cash. We offer an enjoyable work atmosphere and NO LATE NIGHTS OR EARLY MORNINGS.
We are closed EVERY SUNDAY AND MONDAY and we close at 8PM TUESDAY-SATURDAY
**Duties**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, frying fish and chips.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor food inventory levels and re-stock as needed.
- Work with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation.
- Food handler certificate or we help you study and attain the certification.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar cooking role is preferred, but not a deal-breaker.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
