Our Edmonton T3 location is seeking an experienced Security & Screening Agent to support our diverse operations.

Our Edmonton T1 location is seeking an experienced Security & Screening Agent to support our diverse operations. This is a part-time position.

**A Provincial security license is required.**

**Description**:
The overall responsibility of the Security & Screening Agent is to ensure the security of our aviation environment including the passengers, staff, aircraft, and facilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately and efficiently screen passengers and their baggage using screening equipment.
- Monitor, operate and maintain security equipment including: videos, computers, radios, and phones.
- Ensure that the Facility’s Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed in response to Fire Alarms and other Site Emergencies.
- Demonstrate judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
- Observe and provide detailed record keeping and report writing for all incidents.
- Undertake site specific training.
- Demonstrate an active interest in promoting safety consciousness in the workplace.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
- Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
- Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as required.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Previous passenger and baggage screening experience in the aviation industry is required.
- Airport Security Clearance is required.
- Solicitor General Alberta Security Services License is required.
- A valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
- Able to identify colors, shapes, forms and features for X-Ray images.
- First Aid and CPR is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing and observation skills.
- Comfortable with computer programs (Excel, Word, Internet)
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Physically able to lift bags up to 45 pounds.
- Able to stand and/or sit for an extended period of time.
- Able to bend, squat or kneel to perform searches.
- Able to reach above/below level of shoulders.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- A positive and professional attitude.
- Able to work within a structured and highly regulated environment.
- Highly motivated and able to work with mínimal or no supervision.
- Punctual and diligent.
- Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
