We have developed a ground-breaking medical device for the diagnosis and treatment of the most common heart rhythm disorder, atrial fibrillation - which can cause stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications.
Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System - we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
As a member of the Clinical Operations team, you will get hands-on experience in various aspects of the management and implementation of clinical trials at Kardium.
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
You will engage in activities that develop practical and transferable skills such as:
- Support tracking of contract and budget deliverables, if required
- Supporting documentation filing of study related materials to the trial master file for study specific documentation
- Participate in the development of tools, trackers, and materials to support study sites during a clinical trial (e.g. study logs, source worksheets, tools tracking study progress)
- Supporting clinical trial operations including tracking and reviewing clinical trial documentation against Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ALCOA-C principles
- Collaborate with clinical operations and regulatory affairs teams to support the delivery of trial related deliverables.
- Support site communications and site management support, as required in collaboration with project teams and study vendors.
- Provide administrative support to Clinical Operations team during key deliverable seasons.
- Support data review, analysis and completeness checks as required.
- Support management of the clinical equipment

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in the Life Sciences and availability for a September Co-op term is required.
- Previous experience with human research or involvement in human research studies.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment
- Detail-oriented and data driven thinker
- Able to prioritize and manage time and tasks with proficiency.
- Proactive and problem-solving approach to day to day duties
- Strong oral and written communication skills along with attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office
