Custodian/cleaner

We’re a small, community-focused bagel bakery, café and store that takes pride in offering a welcoming atmosphere and high-quality food and service. We're currently looking for a reliable and hardworking **Custodian / Cleaner** to join our team and help maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning space.

The Custodian / Cleaner will be responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of our café, bakery, and store areas. You’ll play a key role in keeping our space clean and safe for both customers and staff, as well as assisting with stock and end-of-day operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms
- Assist with end-of-day cleaning and closing duties in the bakery and store floor
- Take out trash and recycling
- Restock supplies as needed, including carrying wood, bags of flour and other ingredients from the basement area in support of our bakers
- Assist with stock management and rotation (may include lifting and moving boxes)
- Ensure storage areas are clean and organized
- Perform other general custodial duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and carry items up and down stairs
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
