Welcome Guests, check-in/out room reservations and settle accounts while providing warm and authentic service. **Must be available (8am-4pm). Please be flexible and team player.**
- Greet guests with a welcoming smile and friendly demeanor
- Perform all guest check-in and check-out procedures, including groups and tours
- Obtain or confirm guest information, assign rooms, activate and distribute keys, etc.
- Collect payment for room charges and other fees and post them accurately to guests accounts
- Verifies rates charged to guests to ensure that correct room rates are charged.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work space at all times
- Responds to telephone inquiries, giving out information, taking reservations and responding to requests for items such as wake up calls or extra pillows, etc.
- Liaises with guests to resolve problems and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Resolve customer complaints and problems calmly and effectively
- Notify management of any serious issues that you cannot resolve
- Prints registration cards.
- Maintain a friendly, personable disposition
- Accurately communicate with other shifts regarding issues arising from day to day operations in log book
- Take the initiative to add a personalized guest experience.
- Proudly promote the hotel, looking for opportunities to enhance a guest’s stay.
- Assist with booking individual reservations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily transactions, ensuring accounts balance prior to closing the business day, and investigating/correcting variances if needed.
- Handle guest requests promptly and professionally.
- Take point on any emergencies while on shift.
- Maintain an excellent working rapport with all departments in the hotel and act as a liaison on behalf of our guests.
- To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Perform any other tasks which are assigned by management.

**General Tasks**
- To operate the Front Desk in a manner to meet and exceed the expectations of arriving and departing guests.
- To perform and complete tasks consistent with standard operating procedures.
- To oversee the safety and security of guests and associates while maximizing the integrity of company assets.
- Previous hotel guest service experience is a definite asset
- Proven computer knowledge specializing in Word, and Excel, and Choice Advantage considered an asset.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Proficient in French is a plus ( not required)
- Previous experience in front Desk, night audit, customer service and/or hospitality industry preferred
- Experience using hotel booking software a plus
- Personable and outgoing when dealing with guests
- Professional phone demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain calm, polite, and patient in stressful situations
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to connect with guests and consistently give them a positive customer experience
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends, and holidays

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 8-16 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Orleans, ON K1E 0B2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
