**MDI has an opening for a Warehouse Associate - Shipper**

This Shipper position is responsible for accurately and timely picking and packing all shipments and coordinating with couriers for daily pickups. Autonomously picking the order accurately, building the correct box size, filling out waybills and contacting couriers will fill your day in this fast-paced role. Attention to detail, memory and the ability to move quickly are essential for long-term success.

**In this Warehouse Associate position, you will be responsible for**:

- Accurately pick orders, triple checking all items & quantities before packing
- Accurately filling out waybills by hand or by computer
- Schedule all couriers via phone or computer and ensure timely pick ups
- Maintaining accurate stock counts
- Operating the forklift, WAV and/or pallet jack
- Be proactive in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe area for couriers to retrieve shipments
- Be proactive in maintaining a safe and co-operative work environment
- Unloading and/or loading containers & trailers safely, correctly and efficiently
- Other warehouse duties as assigned

- Strong English both verbal and written.
- Reliable, consistent and predictable.
- Have a valid driver's license with own vehicle.
- Strong computer and phone capabilities.
- Strong, positive customer service skills.
- Positive attitude with a drive to learn and grow within the company.
- Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70 lbs.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and standing for long periods of time.
- Quick learner with a strong memory & attention to detail.
- First Aid Certification or willingness to go for training.
- Open-minded, free-thinking and logical individual.
- Must be comfortable around dogs.

**Salary**:
$20.25 - $22.00/hour based on experience

**Schedule**:
Full time; Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, 1 Hour lunch

**Experience**:
We will provide training, but shipping, forklift and/or previous warehouse experience is preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.25-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
