**Key Responsibilities On-Site Duties**
- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly safety inspections and audits across active job site(s) or as required.
- Monitor compliance with company safety policies, government regulations (OHSA), and industry best practices.
- Lead site safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety stand-downs as required.
- Investigate and document all incidents, near misses, and safety violations; develop and monitor corrective action plans.
- Participate in QA/QC inspections for formwork operations, including concrete placement, shoring, stripping, and layout.
- Inspect and track formwork materials and equipment for quality and safe usage. Verify installation accuracy against engineered drawings and specifications.
- Assist in coordinating site logistics such as crane usage, material staging, hoisting operations, and crew access.
**Off-Site / Administrative Duties**
- Maintain health and safety documentation, including JSAs, hazard assessments, and compliance logs.
- Prepare and submit safety and quality reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Coordinate with engineering to review and submit engineered drawings for safety compliance and constructability as required.
- Track and manage material and equipment requisitions, deliveries, and inventory records.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and compliant material delivery.
- Maintain client communication and manage expectations regarding safety, quality, and scheduling.
**Qualifications and Certifications**
**Mandatory Certifications**
- Occupational Health & Safety Certificate or Diploma (recognized institution)
- COR Certification (Certificate of Recognition) - asset
- Working at Heights - MOL-approved (mandatory)
- WHMIS 2015
- First Aid & CPR (Level C)
- Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) certification (Part 1 and 2)
- Confined Space Entry Awareness
- Fall Protection Competency
- Elevated Work Platform / Aerial Lift Certification
- Traffic Control / Signaling Certification
**Desirable Certifications and Training**
- Construction Safety Officer (CSO) designation or equivalent
- Basic/Advanced Formwork Training
- Blueprint and Technical Drawing Reading
- QA/QC Training in Construction
- Crane Safety Awareness
- Project Logistics and Site Coordination courses
- Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) or equivalent
**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of OHSA and applicable construction safety regulations.
- Experience with QA/QC procedures specific to formwork, concrete, and structural systems.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate engineered drawings and shop drawings.
- Organized and proactive in tracking and managing materials, deliveries, and equipment use.
- Strong communication skills and client-facing professionalism.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Competency with safety and quality documentation, reporting, and audits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Procore or similar platforms an asset.
Pay: $25.00-$26.00 per hour
