Health & Safety Instructor (Part-time)

**Position: Health & Safety Instructor**
**Employment: Part-time (8.5 - 26 Hours/Week)**
**Location: Burlington, ON**

**Salary: $31.00 - 33.65 per hour**

**Worksite Safety Compliance Centre **is expanding its instructor-led training team, specifically for the CPO-approved Working at Heights program. If you are a knowledgeable and experienced health and safety instructor who is passionate about construction safety education and keeping workers safe, this role is for you

This part-time hourly-based position will deliver Working at Heights instruction at our **Burlington Training Centre** and occasionally at other sites across the province. The role reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training and working hours will be approximately 8.5 - 26 hours per week (1 to 3 classes) on weekends (daytime) and weekday evenings (4-9pm).

As a Health & Safety Instructor your **key responsibilities** are:

- Delivering engaging and informative Working at Heights training to job seekers, the general public and new and current members of the construction industry
- Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
- Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
- Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
- Following any provincial guidelines for COVID-19 in the classroom if required
- 3+ years experience delivering training
- Background in construction management and/or occupational health & safety preferred
- Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
- Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
- Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
- Valid Ontario’s Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
- Able to legally work in Canada
