Accounting and Inventory Planning Co-ordinator

A small, specialized company long established in the packaging field and noted for its technical capabilities is looking for an Accounting and Inventory Planning Coordinator to join its team located in the West Island. The mandate for this position is too effectively do daily accounting functions, purchasing and inventory activities in accordance with procedures and to optimize inter departmental communication.
**Responsibilities**:
Accounts Payable
Supplier Filer (New / maintain)
Coding of Supplier Invoice
Enter supplier invoice
Processing of Checks
Process wire transfer
Preparation of GST/QST payment
Accounts Receivables
Customer File (New/Maintain)
Creation of Customer order
Creation of Invoice
Enter checks in receivable system
Produce receivable reports
Cost Accounting
Costing of all shipments received
Update inventory system
Inventory Management
Obtain customer forecasts and commitments
Ongoing communication with customers on demand and usage
Analyse net requirements and determine optimum purchasing cycles
Prepare purchase orders
Plan and prepare with suppliers products to be shipped
Co-ordinate inbound shipment logistics
Ongoing communication with the suppliers
Ongoing internal communication and updates with sales and customer service team
Perform Physical counts / update inventory system
New Projects
Determine critical paths
Manage project development for timely delivery
Communicate progress to team members
Pricing and Price list
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
Maintain supplier price lists
Maintain supplier landed cost list
Skills and Experience
- AEC or DEP in accounting or a related field
- Three (3) years of experience in a computerized ERP environment.
- Three (3) years of experience in administration and/or general accounting
- Three (3) years of experience in demand planning and analytics
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Acute sense of customer service when interacting with internal and external clients
- Diligence and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent team spirit; good sense of communication.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Excel).
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
