About Us

Future of Engagement (FoE) is a non-profit organization with the start-up mindset and the goal of making our democracy work for all communities in Canada. FoE leverages technology and data analysis toge marginalized and underrepresented communities in all aspects of Canada’s politics.
- Informing communities about political processes and services
- Bring together volunteers with diverse personal and professional backgrounds to develop resources for underrepresented communities.
- Develop tools that help community leaders set up strategic campaigns, mobilize supporters, and promote their agendas.

Will report to the Director of Stakeholder Relations. With support and supervision: engage in donor mapping and research, develop strategic communications and fundraising plans, and draft and validate public communication.

Tasks
- Updating donor lists and a database for donor outreach and engagement
- Drafting, validating and piloting messages for initial donor outreach
- Learning to use the FoE fundraising platform and support monthly donations monitoring
- Leading on a “lessons learned” exercise evaluating past fundraising events and supporting the elaboration of FoE’s fundraising strategy
- Organizing briefings for fundraising volunteers
- Researching and systematizing knowledge on fundraising for community-led campaigns
- Supporting the finance team with donor reporting requirements.

Key skills and abilities
- Strong public communication and message development
- Ability to use software and online tools
- Financial management basics, including donation tracking and reporting
- Strategic planning and donor mapping experience is an asset
- Leadership in campaign messaging and team collaboration
- Equity-focused and inclusive mindset

Essentials

2 month contract: July and August 2025

$18 or 18.55 an hour, 35h/week

Canada Summer Job: Must have Canadian citizenship, Permanent Residency or Refugee status

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, ON L4W 4M1
