**Manager, HSE - Field**

Our growing company is currently looking to hire a Manger, HSE to join our HSE team, based out of our **Edmonton **office.

***As our Manager ,HSE, you will be responsible to**:

- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the HSE team by ensuring the successful delivery of KPIs, workload prioritization, performance, and professional development needs.
- Work collaboratively with the HSE Team to design and deliver health & safety programs that meet industry standards/best practices and complies with federal, provincial and local regulations.
- Provide advice and counsel to management and other employee groups on a broad range of occupational safety issues and decisions.
- Ensure a consistent field presence by regularly visiting branch, client and site locations.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Manager, HSE Programs & Development to provide program training to all levels of the CDN team.
- Mentor managers and employees to ensure a company wide acceptance of health and safety policies and procedures are understood and are integrated in our company culture
- Work in conjunction with Management and the People & Culture department to make positive changes to the wellbeing and health and safety of all members of CDN.
- Investigate all incidents (Recordable Incidents, Potential Losses, Near Misses and First Aids) and ensure proper documentation and records are completed and submitted.
- Manage, coordinate and collaborate to ensure all incident responses are managed and communicated in accordance with CDN’s processes.
- Represent the organization in matters of health & safety with the government, health and safety associations, clients and others.
- Prepare and provide regular reporting and statistical analysis regarding the organizational HSE performance.
- Work in collaboration with the Manager, HSE - Programs & Development to conduct internal systems and program audits and assurance activities. Assist with the preparations for the COR maintenance audits and ensure timely follow up on identified discrepancies.
- Stay up to date and current on emerging technical and professional aspects of HSE in the following fields: electrical, instrumentation and construction.
- Other duties assigned

**Qualifications Required**:

- Extensive understanding of current Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Bulletins, safe work practices and industry best practices is required
- Experience with occupation health and safety management systems and processes, including but not limited to digital HSE platforms.
- Demonstrated tact, diplomacy, flexibility, listening and persuasion skills
- Experience with disability management, incident investigations, workplace inspections and job hazard assessment and analysis
- Proven ability to effectively plan and direct the work of the HSE field operations group, manage its staff and resolve conflict in a positive and constructive manner
- Strong track record and experience implementing Occupational Health and Safety programs.
- Related post-secondary degree or diploma and typically 8+ years of related HSE experience, or combination of formal education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a people leadership role.
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) is required
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant is preferred.
- Valid class 5 license with a clean drivers abstract
- Valid H2S, First Aid Level C CPR & AED, CSTS, CSO tickets
- Working knowledge of Human and Organizational Performance
