Working Foreman

As a Working Foreman at Ferruzzo Construction, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership skills and expertise will be crucial in coordinating and supervising our skilled workforce, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and successful project delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing day-to-day operations on construction sites, including managing schedules, resources, and budgets.

2. Coordinating with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

3. Carry out a vast range of Ferruzzo own forces work; layout, exterior site work and finishing, rough carpentry framing, drywall, flooring, tiling, painting, finished carpentry, millwork, exterior finishing, window, and doors installation, etc.

4. Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.

5. Leading, managing, and mentoring a team of skilled workers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.

6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

7. Being able to sell and upsell clients.

8. Report to ownership and shareholders on a daily basis.

To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. A deep understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials is essential, as is the ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are also crucial for success in this role.

**Skills**
- Must have great overall communication skills and skilled with reporting to architects, engineers, city officials, clients, shareholders, trades etc.
- Able to send and receive construction drawings electronically.
- Able to open, read, understand electronic/pdf drawings.

**Experience and Schooling**
- 10+ years of experience in residential, commercial renovations and new build projects
- College degree and/or Carpentry License.
- Must be familiar with the Ontario Building Code.
- Valid Working at Heights, WHMIS and other certifications are preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability of getting to and from job sites.
- Able to work 44+ hours a week.

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
