**Overview**:
The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator oversees the procurement, donations, storage, and transportation of Covenant House Toronto inventory. The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for receiving goods and fulfilling end user requests for goods on a timely basis. This includes confirming quantities and details of goods received and delivering goods requested from CHTs’ inventory to end users and updating the inventory accordingly. The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that CHT inventory supply meets user needs/demand.
The functions this role is responsible for include the following:
- Coordinating and monitoring logistic operations and ensuring timely and efficient distribution of goods.
- Effective use of storage on premises, asset control/safeguarding, and communication methods and channels to optimize logistics procedures.
- Communicating with vendors, staff, and other stakeholders (including donors, when applicable for coordination of in-kind/other donated goods) to ensure products and services are delivered and accepted into CHT's inventory in a timely manner.
- Maintaining CHT's inventory database of donations and stocked items while ensuring re-order levels are managed appropriately. This includes performing complete inventory checks of all CHT stock and supplies at least once per year.
- Ensuring all documentation related to inventory flows is complete, accurate and filed correctly.
- Identifying, analyzing, and addressing gaps in inventory processes.
- Sourcing and procurement of various operational items such as cleaning supplies, office supplies, office furniture, tools, uniforms, services, and other operational supplies, as required.
- Ensuring budgets are aligned with spending, including reconciling invoices and expense reports.
- Monitoring inventory and logistics efficiency and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with Operations policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Streamlining processes and related workflows.
- Identifying and proposing cost savings and efficiencies.
**Requirements**:

- Consistently provides excellent customer service and demonstrates a positive “can-do” attitude.
**Experience and Education**:
- Two+ years' experience managing warehouse, supplies, orders, and distribution.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. Associate degree beneficial.
- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools. Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Negotiation Abilities: Ability to negotiate with vendors and end-users, when required.
- Customer Service-Oriented: Experience interacting with customers/stakeholders and ensuring their satisfaction coupled with excellent customer service skills.
- Inventory Management: Understanding of inventory control and management is essential to this role.
- Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of supply chain processes and optimization is an asset.
